This whole Monte camp really has a most unusual way of justifying their actions and words. Some of the s(l)ickest politicians we've seen in some time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8895200797299787815.post-57519015715960331072008-03-24T12:16:00.000-05:002008-03-24T12:16:00.000-05:00Gee, if you read Monte's site, it isn't too diffic...Gee, if you read Monte's site, it isn't too difficult to see why her supporter is "confused" he/she can't read too well. YES, confused, Mrs. Monte was wrong. She claims to have talked to people from Oaklawn and Roosevelt and they told her the "temporary portion of Oaklawn was to be rebuilt in the Jefferson referendum." I don't know if the people Monte talked to were wrong or Mrs. Monte didn't remember correctly what they told her (since she admits it happened over a year ago "They simply invited me to see their schools over a year ago and tell me their situation.") but just because you talk to people who remember things incorrectly it doesn't absolve you from getting accurate information before spreading it around. Of course I don't know why I would expect things with her to change. Accuracy isn't really her strong suit. I just hope people out there realize just because someone writes it down that doesn't automatically make it true.Teresa Thielhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01097990067216672469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8895200797299787815.post-50667259783146166412008-03-24T09:03:00.000-05:002008-03-24T09:03:00.000-05:00Anon. 10:36 You are correct I never said I spend "...Anon. 10:36 You are correct I never said I spend "hours" researching, but you really can't expect accuracy from Monte or her followers. I really don't understand how a community that is supposedly looking for credibility would even consider electing someone who gets so much wrong and then when her inaccuracies are pointed out, instead of setting the record straight says "Of course I have no evidence to support this, nor will anyone find any to refute it." Really, if I had the time I'd find the materials that were given to people that detailed what would be done. Of course that still wouldn't be good enough for Monte, she talked to two people and they couldn't possibly be wrong. Well I talked to two people who ACTUALLY worked on the Jefferson referendum and they said ".." well to paraphrase since their comments weren't very nice --- A rebuild at Oaklawn wasn't part of the Jefferson referendum.

Repairs/rebuild of Oaklawn was in the 2001 referendum the "Sunset" referendum. Oh and that referendum didn't run out of money, it failed to be passed by the voters. Interestingly enough, at the time, many said if there were just the replacement Sunset in the question they would have supported it, but they didn't like the money being spent at all the other schools...Teresa Thielhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01097990067216672469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8895200797299787815.post-58599014267904756762008-03-23T23:36:00.000-05:002008-03-23T23:36:00.000-05:00Teresa, this is from the Monte blog. "Confused sai...Teresa, this is from the Monte blog.

"Confused said...
Mrs Monte,
This morning I see that Teresa Thiel is contradicting what you posted earlier regarding the Oaklawn inclusion on the Jeffereson (sic) referendum.

She claims that she spent hours at the library researching this."

As you can see her supporters get things screwed up, too. First they comment about how you "claim" to have spent hours at the library researching things. Why was it necessary for them to use the word "claims?" Does this camp always have to suggest to people others are somehow lying about something?

The second thing is I don't see anywhere in your post where you said you spent hours researching anything. I only see where you said you were at the library doing research. Makes me wonder why the Monte supporter is lying and what they hope to gain by it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
