I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and especially those who expressed their support and encouragement. I gave it all I had but it was not to be. I will remain passionate about education, just in a less visible way.

The purpose of this blog is to provide a place to discuss school district issues. The title of the blog is what I hope people will keep foremost in their minds. The decisions that are made should be about the students. I know there are plenty who disagree and think it should be all about the taxpayers but I believe the duty of the school board and the district administration should be to do what is best for the students. That is what education should be about -- the students

Sorry you did not win Teresa. But at least the double-tongued, 2-faced Michelle Monte didn't get elected either. She had more opinions than Carter has liver pills. It just depended on the crowd she was playing to, as did her language. Did you notice how when she would be in a rowd of students she would pander to them by using the phrase, "such and such" 'sucks?' How unprofessional of the woman, not to mention tacky. Oh well, in the end it didn't get her elected anyway.
Anonymous 10:00 -- I appreciate your comments. In the end I didn't win either and in fact came in last... I'll never know for sure why, I think it is hard to determine why the school board race went the way it did.
I do know my life will be much less stressful, I don't envy the board their job in the months ahead.
